Founded in 1999, Doggywalker.com now serves over 1,000 pets and owners in Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia. Our dog walking and pet sitting staff are lifelong pet owners, animal lovers, and experienced animal care providers who will help your pet(s) maintain a normal routine in your home environment.
Dean’s dog Bob (pictured on our homepage) always enjoyed the care that he received from Doggywalker.com. Dean missed Bob when he was at work all day, so he decided to try to find a job that would allow him to bring Bob to the office. So, in the summer of 2004 Dean decided to leave his cubicle and to purchase the company.
Doggywalker.com is a licensed, bonded, and insured dog walking and pet sitting company. We are members of Pet Sitters International (PSI), the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), and the Northern Virginia Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NVPPS).
Rescue Program
Most of our own dogs are local rescues, and we like to give back to those rescue programs. A portion of the proceeds at Doggywalker.com goes to support the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria,the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, and Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue in West Virginia.
This year we began a new program where we will make a donation, to the rescue group of your choice, for every new client that signs up for monthly contract walks for at least three months. We will also make a donation in the name of any new pet sitting rescue animal after their third set of pet sitting visits.
Our mission is to treat your pet(s) and home with the love, care and respect we would use to treat our own. We believe in nurturing pets in their home environment and helping them follow a consistent and reliable schedule.
