Safety Protocols
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, DoggyWalker.com has been committed to the continued safety and care of our clients’ homes and pets by adopting new visit protocols.  Our caregiver team has been conducting dog walks and pet sits with the following new protocols in order to maintain everyone’s safety, home security, and peace of mind.  If you and your pet(s) have individual safety requests that are not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us.
DoggyWalker.com is proud to be certified by the Alexandria Health Department as a participant in the ALX Promise program.  This means we have committed to higher safety standards for our caregivers and clients than the minimum rules required by law for all businesses.

With your pets:

  • Use our own leashes or restraints that the caregiver keeps with him/her.
  • Minimized petting and unnecessary handling.
  • Hand-washing (if available) and hand sanitizing.
  • Minimized caregiver substitutions.
  • Social distancing from humans and other animals.
  • Weekly health screenings by all employees.

In your home:

  • Free new client consultations that can take place outside or online.
  • Alternate home entry and pet pickup locations.
  • Pre-arrival communications.
  • Masks worn at all times.
  • Electronic visit reports.
  • Water refill and treats as needed.
