Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, DoggyWalker.com has been committed to the continued safety and care of our clients’ homes and pets by adopting new visit protocols.  Our caregiver team has been conducting dog walks and pet sits with the following new protocols in order to maintain everyone’s safety, home security, and peace of mind.  If you and your pet(s) have individual safety requests that are not listed below, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are proud to share that during the course of caring for our client’s pets, no one has developed symptoms or illness from the coronavirus.  And, more than 95% of our team is vaccinated! DoggyWalker.com is proud to be certified by the Alexandria Health Department as a participant in the ALX Promise Gold program.  As a participant, DoggyWalker.com has committed to higher safety standards for our caregivers and clients than the minimum rules required by law for all businesses.  

With your pets: 

• Use our own leashes or restraints that the caregiver keeps with him/her.
• Minimized petting and unnecessary handling.
• Hand-washing (if available) and hand sanitizing.
• Minimized caregiver substitutions.
• Social distancing from humans and other animals.
• Weekly health screenings by all employees.

In your home:

• No-cost new client consultations that can take place outside or online.
• Alternate home entry and pet pickup locations.
• Pre-arrival communications.
• Masks are worn by unvaccinated caregivers at all times, and worn by vaccinated caregivers per any client request.
• Electronic visit reports.
• Water refill and treats as needed.
