You saved our trip to Colorado! We can’t thank you enough for the incredible care you gave our pack — and under last-minute circumstances to boot.When our neighbor Terry broke her leg 48 hours before our departure, we entered panic mode. With three big dogs and a cat, watching over our pack is no small task. We really thought only Terry could handle it, with her long-standing relationships with all of our (highly coddled) pets. Turns out we were wrong. You swept in, took half an hour in our home to get a sense of us, then paired us beautifully with the ideal care-taker for our gang. When James came over to meet us (again — all at the last minute!), Tom and I exchanged a delighted glance when he focused all of his attention on the dogs instead of us as he came in the door. Half an hour later all the humans in the house were just as relaxed as the animals with the idea of James being in charge. We came home to four perfectly calm, relaxed pets … not to mention a sea of hilarious notes on the kitchen counter detailing each day’s adventures. This was no quick cover-the-bases-and-move-on approach. James was clearly completely engaged with our animals, as only a real animal-lover can be. We’re now completely at ease with the idea of heading off for vacations in the future. Just knowing you’re around gives us great peace of mind.
